The Honeycomb Collective

This is a couple of month old, but I did not get a chance to review the amazing project.  Star Wars Celebration IV convention held a crazy art show paying tribute to the real deal “Dark Knight”, Darth Vader.  The 2008 Vader project is a collection of helmets tricked out by the worlds greatest Urban and low brow street artist, which include Frank Kozik, Paul Frank Sunich, Marc Ecko and Urban Medium just to name a few.  

This inspires me most because of the DIY nature.  Like KidRobot’s Munny they have taken an iconic image and tricked it out to make it their own.  The combination of original art on top of a familiar image has become our generations canvas.
